RSS to twitter is a very useful feature. Up until now I have been using the HootSuite twitter application to do this for me, but not Google have added this directly into their feedburner application, thus reducing one step from setting up a new site’s feed.
Tweeting your RSS feed is a good idea for letting people know you have a new post up, and hopefully you might get a few re-tweets out there which will lead to a few new visitors. As always though, make sure the RSS feed is relevant to the people who subscribe to that particular twitter account!
Log into your twitter account and select one of your feeds, head over to the “socialize” tab to set it up:
This feature will be using the much talked about new link shortening service from Google, so if you start seeing “go.gl” links then they might just have come from feedburner!
